I have been teaching at Assumption for 10 years, although I have been teaching and involved with Early Childhood Education for over 30 years. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Psychology from University of Detroit Mercy. I am honored to be a part of children’s first learning experience and journey of becoming a lifelong learner! I live in St. Clair Shores with my husband John and our two sons, Ben and Brent. Outside of Assumption I am very busy teaching the Paper Pals Program for Macomb County C.A.R.E., and selling shoes at JC Penney on the weekends. When not working, I enjoy reading, watching movies and coffee!
I have been an assistant teacher here for 26 years! Just think, some the kids I taught that long ago are working here and some others are parents themselves!
I believe working with the four year old children has taught me a lot and kept me moving to stay young. I enjoy seeing their pride in themselves and in their accomplishments. Personally, I am a wife, a mother of three pretty great guys, mother in law to two wonderful women and Mimi to the best seven grandchildren ever!! My family is my heart.
I am starting my 5th year at Assumption! I am currently pursuing my Elementary Education degree at Wayne State University along with participating in various theatrical productions with Grosse Pointe Theatre. I am extremely excited to get to know the new kiddos coming into the school year and to get to see familiar faces grow throughout the year!
