Rachel Palmer

My name is Rachel Palmer, I’m completing my 1st year at Assumption. I have Bachelor Degree in Human Services with extended course work in Early Childhood. I have 10 years experience in care giver services working for cognitively impaired individuals faster care. I have a wonderful husband of 7 years and a 5 year old daughter. I’m enjoying my role as lead.

Hannah Engels

I am working toward my degree in Elementary Education and I’m very excited to be part of the Assumption team! Previously, I worked with young adults with autism, helping them learn independent living skills. Some of my hobbies include reading, swimming, and playing with my nieces and nephew.

Kate Haynes

I have been a member of the Assumption family since 2008. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Early Childhood – Children & Families. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Michael, our son, Jack and our array of pets

Olivia Economopoulos

My name is Olivia Economopoulos and I one of the lead teachers in Room 2 at the Assumption Annex. I have been working at Assumption since 2010. I am pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood at Wayne State. My husband and I had a beautiful babyh boy this past December (2018) and I was thrilled for the opportunity to come back to work at the Annex. I love to read in my spare time when I am not spending time with my husband Andreas, Baby Michael and our Beagle Jax.

Lisa Rusher

I have been a member of Assumption since January 2019. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my four children and husband.

Lexi Cook

I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I am now getting a second degree in nursing at Wayne State University. I’ve been working at Assumption, on and off, for 4 years. During my free time, I like to spend time with friends and family, practice yoga, snowboard, and go boating.

Joanna Sturza

My name is Joanna. I have been at the Assumption Toddler Annex since January of 2019. My prior experience includes being a substitute teacher and small business owner. I have a degree in English from Oakland University. I have 3 children, a boy and two girls. I also have a cat, a Siberian Husky (we rescued them) and a bunny. My hobbies are gardening, cooking and traveling.

Lindsey Gallagher

 I am currently studying social work and psychology at Wayne State University. I have enjoyed working with children since I was in middle school, and hope to continue to do so in my field after I graduate. I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
