As the Toddler Center Coordinator and one of the Lead Teacher’s in Room 9, I’m excited to begin my 20th year teaching toddlers at Assumption. I have a teaching degree from Michigan State University in Special Education and more than 29 years of experience with children. I have been married for 31 years. Our oldest son, Robby, is now a reporter with a national newsmagazine and lives in DC with his wife. My youngest son Ryan graduated from MSU and works for a title company in East Lansing, where his wife is completing vet school As I spend time with the toddlers, I am reminded always about how fast the time goes, and how much fun it is along the way!
I will be starting my 11th year here at Assumption. I enjoy spending my day with the wonderful and loving staff, watching the young friendships develop, and seeing the growth that occurs over the course of the school year. I have an Associate’s Degree in Liberal arts from Oakland Community College. I have one son, Brandon, who is 20 years old and is attending Macomb Community College. I enjoy spending time with my family, working in the yard and walking.
This is my 6th year at Assumption and I work as one of the lead teachers in the toddler center. I have 12 years of teaching experience working in an elementary school in Pennsylvania. I have 2 sons, Ian who is working at Mount Ranier in Washington as a park ranger and Zane who is a sophomore at Wayne State. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and watching hockey.
This year is my 14th enjoyable year working with the toddlers. I love seeing their smiling faces and knowing they are in a happy and secure environment at Assumption. My husband Jim and I have three sons and 2 grandchildren. Jimmy, our oldest and Kevin our youngest are both Michigan State University graduates. Christopher is a Marine and attending college. Ethan just turned 10 years old. Jimmy and Diana (our daughter-in-law) and Madden, our granddaughter live in Virginia, and we just celebrated her 2nd birthday.
I am presently in my junior year of college pursuing an early childhood degree in education. I enjoy coming to work each day helping grow and make friends in the toddler room. Assumption is a vibrant community of learners, and I am excited to pursue my career here.
My name is Elizabeth Meldrum. I am 22 years old and I go to Wayne State University majoring in nutrition and dietetics. I have been a teacher’s assistant for 3 years in the toddler center. I love being with the toddlers everyday and watching them learn and grow every year.
This is my 2nd year at Assumption, after a 15 year hiatus spent raising my family. I have been married for 12 years and have 2 children, Owen 11 years and Ellie 7 years old. I enjoy spending time with my family , reading, gardening and crafting. I’, excited to be back with the toddlers crafting and planning art activities, my favorite thing.
